“Every C.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.”
In CAOGB, Tradition Seven reminds us that every group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions. This means we rely on the voluntary contributions of our own members to carry the message of recovery.
We do this for two important reasons:
To remain free from outside influence.
To ensure that C.A. remains available to any addict, regardless of their financial situation, in accordance with our primary purpose.
Tradition Seven is not just about money — it is about responsibility, unity, and trust. When we each contribute what we can, we help ensure that meetings, service structures, and recovery support remain available for the still-suffering addict.
All contributions received by CAOGB are used carefully and transparently to support our primary purpose: carrying the message of recovery to the addict who still suffers.
Funds are typically used for:
Supporting and maintaining the CAOGB service structure.
Literature and resources for groups and members.
Communications costs and maintenance of CAUK helpline links and related services.
Providing Zoom licences and support for new and existing meetings.
Supporting outreach and public information efforts.
Helping ensure meetings remain accessible across the UK through this website.
Ensuring legal, financial, and GDPR compliance across CAOGB service activities and communications.
No one profits from C.A. All service positions are voluntary, and funds are used solely to support recovery work and essential operating costs.
There are two ways your group can contribute to CAOGB. These options can also be shared with individual group members who wish to contribute.
Contributions can be made through our Collctiv account.
